Jamshedpur: A meeting was held by Panchayat representatives at Gamharia on Wednesday. It was presided over by the block head Amrita Tudu.
The block head and others expressed deep concern over the issue of pump purchase scam. It was decided to take the matter to DC and demand a thorough investigation into the scam.
A memorandum will be given to the DC in this regard, the members said.
At the meeting, it was alleged that the BDO allegedly purchased the pump for giving Rs 7000 more than the actual price.
Among those present on the occasion included the block deputy head Rani Mahato, Ajit Kumar Singh, Asha Mahato, Anita Devi, Chavi Rani Singh, Kunti Hansda, Kamla Devi, Kalpana Mahato and Jogeshwar Nayak.
