Jamshedpur: Goals continued to be in abundance in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament as SDSM School trounced Hill Top School 14-0 at the Sumanth Moolgaonkar Stadium here on Wednesday.
It was a one-sided affair from the word go with Mayur Mukhi drawing first blood for SDSM in the fourth minute. Two minutes later, Amit Kanyal made it 2-0 while Sachin Malakar and Vishal joined the goal fest in the 10th and 14th minutes of the match.
Mukhi and Vishal went on to score four goals while Sachin Malakar and Sampat scored two goals each. Ratan also got on to the scoresheet as SDSM completely dominated this Junior Boys qualifier.
There was hardly any respite for Hill Top boys as the rush of goals continued in both halves of the match with SDSM leading 6-0 in the first half and adding another eight in the second session.
Mukhi scored in the 4th, 28th, 45th and 54th minutes while Vishal scored in the 14th, 24th, 47th and 57th minutes of the match. Sachin scored in the 10th and 59th minutes and Sampat scored in the 44th and 53rd minutes.
In another Junior Boys match at Armoury Ground, Delhi Public School (DPS, Jamshedpur) routed DAV Vidyalaya, Sonari 6-0. Adit Raj scored twice for DPS in the 12th and 14th minutes after Bikram had opened the account in the 5th minute and again scored in the 19th minute of the match. Md Shafi and Tonmay Verma scored in the 27th and 35th minutes to make it 6-0 in favour of DPS-Jamshedpur.
Vani Vidya Mandir HS too recorded an easy 4-0 victory over Vidya Jyoti School in another Junior Boys match at Armoury Ground.
Sahebram Murmu scored two goals fwhile Bimal Soren and Sachin Layak scored one goal each. Giri Bharati High School defeated Kasiidh High School 2-0 in another match in the same category.
In the Junior Girls category, Giri Bharati High School defeated Hindustan Mitra Mandal School 3-0 at Tinplate Sports Complex today. Subola Sardar scored a hat-trick by scoring in the third, fifth and 19th minute for Giri Bharati.
