Jamshedpur, August 17: The 28th One-Day Chess Championship, organized by Bishop Chess Academy, Telco, was held at the Learn and Fun Activity Centre with enthusiastic participation from young players. The event saw intense competition, with Mayan Jha securing first place with 4.5 points. Gagandeep Singh, Divyansh Agarwal, and Riddhan Goyal followed with 4 points each, while Harsh Raj Sah also scored 4 points.
The tournament was officiated by Chief Arbiter Aman Choubey. N.K. Tiwari, Secretary of East Singhbhum District Chess Academy, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Sunita Singh was the Guest of Honour. All participants received momentos and certificates, while the top three winners were awarded trophies. The championship was praised as a well-organized and exciting chess event.
