Jamshedpur, Oct. 07: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today joined city people in the celebration of Navratri and Durga Puja and wished them on the occasion for a happy and peaceful festive season.
He inaugurated several puja pandals in the city including the pandal at Agrico. He was accorded a warm welcome at the puja venue by the committee members as well as the city residents.
Earlier, the CM was received at the Sonari Airport by the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar. Many BJP leaders and city residents met the CM on his arrival in the city in the middle of the festivities.
The CM has asked the state officials including district administration authorities to make high security arrangements everywhere to keep peace during puja.
He said the puja was significant as it symbolizes the victory of good over evil. He said he prayed to goddess Durga for the peace and prosperity of the state and its people.
