Jamshedpur, Oct. 07: State Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Saryu Roy gave approval to various development projects having a total estimated cost of over Rs 50 crore here on Friday.
One of the major projects approved by the minister is the proposed construction of a park across an area of 30 acres at Sonari Domohani.
Besides this project, the district administration will be constructing community centres, roads, drains, culverts and parks in different parts of the city.
Roy, presiding over a meeting of the District Plan Selection Committee also attended by the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar, said the implementation work on the approved projects will start soon after the submission of detailed project report (DPR) and completion of formalities.
The proposed projects will also include construction of community centres and parks at Mango and Dimna Chowk. All the projects will be carried out under the jurisdiction areas of Manago Notified Area Committee, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and Jugsalai Municipality, officials said.
Roy said the government wanted timely implementation of the projects while ensuring quality construction and full utility of the projects for the people of the city. He said the projects were dedicated to the people for whose benefit they were planned.
The officials of different government departments were present during the meeting.
