May 15 last date for admissions to Schools of Excellence Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 11: The Jharkhand government has taken a commendable step by introducing English medium education in government schools. This move will enable parents to provide quality education to their children without having to send them outside or wait for admission to private schools.

As part of this initiative, three schools in the East Singhbhum district have been identified as schools of excellence. These schools will offer English medium education under the CBSE curriculum to students in grades 6 through 9 during the academic session of 2023-24. The state government will implement this program under the Adarsh Vidyalaya scheme.

Parents interested in enrolling their children in these schools can obtain the application form from the respective school. The deadline for submitting the application form is May 15. After a district-level examination, admission will be granted based on the merit list.

It’s important to note that enrollment in these schools may be limited to girls only or may be open to both boys and girls, depending on the school. The Upgraded +2 Girls High School in Sakchi and B.P.M.+2 High School in Burmaines will enroll only girls, while Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School in Sundernagar will enroll both boys and girls.

For more information on this initiative, interested individuals can visit the website www.jamahedpur.nic.in. This is a laudable effort by the Jharkhand government to provide quality education to students in government schools, and I hope to see more such initiatives in the future.
