Potka, July 9: The Circle Officer-cum-Block in-charge of distribution Baleshwar Ram while chairing a meeting at the Block Office said that a maximum number of households should derive the benefits of Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY).
The meeting was attended by 20 Point Programme president Manoj Ram, vice president Haldhar Das, Mukhiyas of Panchayats under the Potka Block and PDS dealers. It was stated in the meeting that the government was determined to deliver gas connections to all under PMUY scheme.
All PDS shop owners were directed to ensure enlisting between 5 and 10 households every week for PMUY. They were asked to conduct such surveys by moving from door-to-door so that no person or household missed out on the Ujjwala scheme. The CO urged the 20 Point Program Implementation chief and the Mukhiyas to cooperate in the drive.
The issue of mob lynching was also discussed in the meeting. The CO stated that all should be on alert against mob lynching. �No one is legally authorized to take law into his or her own hands,� he stated.
Those present in the meeting were Mukhiya Saraswati Murmu, Sayad Jabiullah, Sunil Munda, Sitaram Hembram, Madhav Hembrom, Pano Baskey, PDS shopkeepers Dwarika Gupta, Rajendra Gupta, Jamuna Gupta, Lallu Gupta, Bhrigu Kalindi, Devanand Mardi, Prahlad Nandi, gas agency owners Dinesh Singh, Rakesh Singh and others.
