Matric exam: Passage-based question perplexes examinees

Jamshedpur: Students had a tough time dealing with a confusing question while answering Hindi paper during the Matriculation Board exams held across various centres in Kolhan on Friday.

Asked about the perplexing question, a student said it was based on a passage. The questions asked at the end of the passage were totally unrelated to the passage, which caused confusion among the students, said the student.

The question carried 12 marks, making it difficult for the students to leave the question un-attempted. Many students thought it wise to attempt the question.
According to a teacher of a Sakchi-based government school, the question was wrong. She however said she was unable to do anything to get the question cancelled or report the error in question paper.
