Jamshedpur, March 9: Inner Wheel club of Jamshedpur on Friday inaugurated its third happy school at Adivasi Kalyan Madhya Vidyalaya. The happy school inaugurated by Prabha Raghunandan in the presence of DLCC Aruna Taneja, Dr Rita, Inner Wheel members, Principal, teachers and students was the third happy school inaugurated by the club in a year.
Club President Alaknanda Bakshi said, the school was adopted by Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur when lack of infrastructural facilities was flashed in a newspaper.
‘We inaugurated renovated colourful class rooms, verandah with colourful and child friendly pictures, corridors, computer, Hand wash station, toilets with running water and library. New water pipe line was laid to supply water in toilets and hand wash station and in the process, a room was made useful as classroom which otherwise was getting wasted by placement of water tank and other things.
Benches and desks for children were handed over to school before. Interact Clubs of Jamshedpur Public School and AIWC Academy of Excellence helped in making this project successful’, added Bakshi.
She further said that school bags were also distributed among children.
Immediate Past Association President and Zonal literacy Chair, Mrs Prabha Raghunandan heralded the work done by IWC Jamshedpur members and wished children all the success in life. She requested school management to maintain the good work done by IWC Jamshedpur and take the school to the path of progress. School children put up a cultural show which enthralled everyone.
