Jamshedpur: The annual matriculation and intermediate examinations commenced today across East Singhbhum under strict security arrangements. Thousands of students appeared for their first paper at various examination centers, with authorities ensuring a smooth and fair conduct of the exams.
The district administration, in coordination with the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), has deployed invigilators and flying squads to prevent malpractices. CCTV cameras have been installed in sensitive examination centers, and Section 144 has been imposed around select venues to prevent unauthorized gatherings.
Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Ananya Mittal emphasized that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure a fair examination process. Special arrangements have been made for students with disabilities, and medical teams are on standby at key centers.
Parents and students were seen arriving early at the centers, with mixed emotions of nervousness and determination. Many students expressed confidence in their preparation, while some were apprehensive about the difficulty level of the papers.
As the examinations continue in the coming days, authorities have urged students to focus on their studies and avoid any unfair means. The results of these crucial exams will play a key role in shaping the academic and career paths of thousands of students across the district.
Out of the total candidates, 25,380 students will be appearing for the Matriculation (Class 10) exams, while 22,256 students will take the Intermediate (Class 12) exams. The Intermediate category includes 13,595 students from the Arts stream, 4,697 from Science, and 3,964 from Commerce. The 10th board exams will be conducted at 71 centres, whereas the 12th board exams will be held across 35 centres in the district.
