Massive fire engulfs shop in Jamshedpur, incurs losses worth lakhs

Jamshedpur: A significant fire erupted late Tuesday evening at Aaradhya Enterprises, located on Mango NH 33 in Jamshedpur, resulting in substantial financial losses. Fortunately, the shop was closed at the time of the incident, minimizing the risk to human life.

Local residents noticed smoke emanating from inside the shop and promptly informed the operator, Vishal Jaiswal. Following the alert, the Jharkhand Fire Department dispatched a fire brigade to the scene to contain and extinguish the flames. It took about an hour of strenuous efforts for the firefighters to bring the fire under control.

Saurabh Jaiswal, the brother of operator Vishal, provided details about the nature of the shop’s business, stating that Aaradhya Enterprises specializes in selling iron items attached to trucks. The shop, closed by staff member Baneshwar at the time, suffered significant damage. The fire originated in the shop’s office area, resulting in the destruction of cash amounting to approximately one lakh rupees, along with a laptop, computer, air conditioner, CCTV camera, and other valuable items. The overall estimated loss is pegged at around Rs 5 lakh.
