Jamshedpur, June 4: Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) on Sunday launched plantation drive under the banner of Asha Jyoti (Chatrapati Shivaji Welfare Society) at the ground in Bagbera ahead of the World Environment day, on Sunday. They also held a prize distribution function on the occasion.
Members of the manch announced construction of toilets for the students studying at Asha Jyoti and the construction will start in a few days.
Earlier, President of the manch, Prabha Padia, Jaya, Lata, Josma, Sushila Khirwal, Sushila Sawa, Veena Agarwal participated in the plantation drive were students planted 20 Ashok trees. A poetry reading, debate competition based on environment was also organised.
Present on the occasion were Ramswarup Prasad Singh, Shankar Prasad Mahato, Govardhan Mehta, Upendra Kumar Singh, Avdhesh Singh, Parmeshwar Mahato, Kamleshwari Prasad Mehta, Maheshwar Prasad, Rakesh Ranjan, Narendra Kumar SIngh, Nilesh Kumar, Saroj Ranjan, Shailendra Kumar, Gourav Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Ravi Kumar and others.
