Marwadi community under shadow of fear

Jamshedpur: The Marwadi community is under the shadow of fear said Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwadi Sammelan (PSZMS) president Umesh Sah while leading a delegation with a memorandum addressed to State Chief Minister Raghubar Das through Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar.

The memorandum handed to the DC mentioned that in view of the twin murders of Bhai Mahendra Agrawal and Hemant Agrawal in Ranchi on March 6 and the killers still at large and the murder of an entire Marwadi family in Hazaribagh sometime earlier with the police still remaining clueless, the entire community was in the grips of fear.

The memorandum desired that the police, irrespective of the clouts of the killers, ensure their arrest so that the highest penalty can be meted out to them. The PSZMS delegation demanded that protection be provided to the businessmen.

Speaking to the media Sah said that the entire Marwadi community was sad due to the killings and the bereavement in the families. �The families of those killed should be meted out justice. The whole Marwadi community is living under the shadow of fear. No matter their strength of clout, the assassins should be arrested without delay and the harshest punishment be meted out to them or people would lose faith on the police machinery,� Sah said.

The PSZMS delegation comprised the organization�s general secretary Ashok Modi, vice president Dipak Parikh, senior regional executive Bajrang Agrawal, regional vice president Naresh Modi, Ramesh Moonka, Bhalubasa branch secretary Pankaj Chhavchharia and Mahabir Agrawal.
