Market optimistic after three-year recession: Tata Motors plant head

Jamshedpur, Jan. 27: After two to three years of recession, the market is finally on the move to reform, especially the Jamshedpur plant of Tata Motors, where demand of vehicles has increased and now it is important to ensure production of quality vehicles and send them to the market on time as demanded by the customers, said AB Lall, plant head, Tata Motors, on Tuesday.

Addressing the employees after hoisting the national flag on Republic Day at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium in Telco Colony, Lall said, �This financial year our plant has made notable achievements and produced vehicles according to the needs of our defense forces and in the month of November 2015, Tata group chairman Cyrus Mistry flagged off the first vehicles MHC 2038 6*6 designed for the Indian Army and the model also won the �Apollo CV Award� for Special Application Commercial Vehicle of the Year.�

The automaker�s plant head further said that in regard to safety, the works has seen great improvement in the last 3-4 years and now they are standing at respectful 0.24 LTIFR. To further improve we will have to follow several safety measurers laid down by Dupont.

He said strategy, production, service and quality are few vital areas that deserve continuous improvement to be leader in the automobile market.

After hoisting the flag, Lall distributed prizes to the winners of Independence Day parade of 2015 wherein Vivek Vidyalaya won the first prize followed by Hill Top School and Little Flower School.

Highest blood donor award was given to Chandan Goswami, while highest suggestion award was received by Saurabh Kumar Senapati. The Republic Day parade was commanded by Viveka Nand Singh, Sr. Manager (Crime & Intelligent wing), Tata Motors. The main attraction of the day was the parade by special children of Asha Kiran School.

Altogether 10 schools performed at the ground were the theme was �Climate Change.� A beautiful drill show was put up by Shiksha Niketan School and Gulmohur School. Finally, a dog show by Tata Motors Kennel concluded the event.
