Maoists torch five vehicles of road Construction Company in Tamar

Ranchi, March 4: Maoists on Thursday night attacked the construction site of Madhucon Construction Company involved in four-lane work of Ranchi-Jamshedpur highway and torched its five vehicles including three Hyva, a Bolero and a Mahindra Tripper in Salgadih under Tamar Police Station in Ranchi district.

Maoists also took away the mobiles from the 20 employees of the company and left behind a poster.

According to reports, Madhucon Construction Company is involved in four-lane work in Tamar.

Company has put up a camp in Salgadih and has pressed in crusher machine and constructed a store at the site from where materials are supplied for the NH-33 four-lane.

Thursday night at around 12 midnight Maoists around 15 in number arrived at the spot. Some arrived in motorbikes, some in scooty and some arrived walking.

Soon after arriving, the Maoists took guard Krishnachand Mahato under their possession, snatched the mobiles and torched the vehicles. They created rampage for around half an hour and fled the scene. Later on the statement of guard Krishnachand a FIR was registered at Tamar Police Station.

�The police have started investigation into the matter and there is no information of any Maoists group demanding levy.

The company has never registered any complain against the incident and it would be clear only after the matter is investigated�, said Sanchman Tamang, Tamar Police Station in-charge.
