Jamshedpur, July 24: Suspected Maoists shot dead their two former associates in Porahat forest under Sonua police station area in West Singhbhum late Tuesday night.
Sources said a group of four armed Maoists wearing the outfit�s uniform reached the house of 25 year old Bagun Bodra and took him to the house of Dango Munda, 35. At the latter�s house, the Maoists tied the limbs of the two unsuspecting victims and shot them dead outside near a shop. After committing the crime, the culprits decamped towards the forest.
Next morning, police reached the village and recovered the bodies. The bodies were sent to Chakradharpur for postmortem examination.
According to West Singhbhum SP Indrajeet Mahatha, the killings could be an act of punishment on behalf of the Maoists who suspected the two of working against the banned ultra-Leftist organization.
Mahatha said a search operation was on to nab the Maoists responsible fo the killings.
