Jamshedpur: Joint teams of West Singhbhum police and CRPF jawans arrested suspected Maoist area commander Sanjay Bodra alias Tata Bodra during a combing operation in Keraikela police station area on Monday.
Arms were also recovered from the possession of the arrested Naxalite commander. More than 10 cases are lodged against Bodra in various police stations of the district.
Cops said they were interrogating the accused to find out details of whereabouts of his aides. The arresting is being seen as a breakthrough by the police.
Cops said they will be continuing the operation in the area. Bodra is accused of involvement in extortion, sabotage and arms loot incidents.
