Jamshedpur, Dec 31: Adityapur resident Manu Upadhyay alias Manu Bihari’s latest Bhojpuri video album, ‘Face Book Wali Janu’ is creating ripples not only in Jharkhand and Bihar but in Uttar Pradesh, Wrest Bengal, Delhi, Assam and other regions on YouTube with subscribers and ‘likes’ continuing to mount in hundreds.
Manu is an MBA but he is a self confessed artiste with a penchant for the performing arts. The songs have been rendered by Chandan. Manu makes music albums and provides opportunities to promising artistes both, in front and behind the camera. He is credited with the making of video albums based on songs penned by Khesari Lal, Pawan Singh, Rakesh Mishra and others. His production team comprises his wife Nitu along with Bhanu Shri, Rumpa, Anu, Nisha, Riya, Ashok, Vivek and Chandan. All are also performing artistes. The albums are shot in Jamshedpur and nearby locations.
“My wife Nitu and I started this venture of making video albums during the lockdown phases. Prashant Swai has directed this album while Suraj has wielded the camera.”
Manu is currently in talks with popular Bhojpuri singer Rakesh Mishra and his team and has plans to make a video album on the vocalist’s songs and also make a Bhojpuri film.
