Jamshedpur, May 29: On the occasion of Mann Ka Milan Pakhwada program, Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge, Anil Kumar Mishra, flagged off a mobile awareness van from the court premises on Monday. The initiative aimed to encourage people to attend the Mann Ka Milan Pakhwada and resolve their pending cases through mediation, ultimately saving both time and money.

The ‘Man Ka Milan’ fortnight program, which commenced on May 29 and will run until June 14, 2023, is being conducted continuously throughout the entire district. Nitish Nilesh Sanga, Secretary of DLSA, expressed that the program aims to raise awareness about mediation in the front office and all the legal aid clinics across the district, including the DLSA office. The objective is to facilitate the resolution of disputes through settlements, thereby expediting the processing of pending cases in court.

Efforts are being made to make victims and those in need of legal assistance aware of their rights and the law through intensive awareness campaigns conducted at various locations via mobile vans. On the first day of the Mann Ka Milan Fortnight program, which took place on Monday, May 29, pamphlets were distributed among the people at Nyay Sadan Bhawan, Front Office, Mediation Hall, Reception, and the Civil Court Complex. The pamphlets provided detailed information about mediation and urged individuals to take advantage of the services offered.

The success of the program is attributed to the meaningful cooperation and support provided by mediators, legal council members, panel lawyers, PLV (Para Legal Volunteers), and police officers. Moreover, the fortnight program is being implemented in different blocks of East Singhbhum district, including the Ghatshila subdivision court.
