Jamshedpur, September 1: The Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) at Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC), Jamshedpur, organized a Postgraduate Orientation Programme to welcome its new batch of postgraduate students for the academic year 2025–26. The program introduced students to eight specialized PG courses offered under the department.
The event began with a floral tribute to Dr. TMA Pai, the visionary founder of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), setting a tone of inspiration and gratitude. MTMC is a constituent unit of MAHE, Manipal, a NAAC A++ accredited and Deemed-to-be University.
Dr. Harish Chander Bandhu, In-Charge Dean of MTMC, graced the occasion as chief guest. The Head of the Department of Allied Health Sciences delivered the welcome address, extending greetings to students and their families.
The program also featured addresses by other dignitaries, including the Director of Academic Administration and Quality at MTMC and the Dean of MCHP, MAHE (online). Speakers encouraged students to pursue academic excellence, uphold professional ethics, and embrace research as a transformative tool.
Following the speeches, sessions were held to brief students on academics, examinations, clinical training, research opportunities, internships, hostel facilities, extracurricular activities, and campus support systems.
