Jamshedpur: All officers and staff of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) observed strike on Friday to protest alleged assault on Assistant Engineer Roshan Ranjan by two local residents.
Sources said the team of MMC staff had gone to install paver blocks beside Hotel Suman. During the installation work, one Bhanu Pratap Sahi and his son Rakesh Sahi reportedly abused the Assistant Engineer and assaulted him, thereby impeding the ongoing work, sources said.
MMC officials said they were trying to remove encroachment from the place where paver blocks were to be laid. An FIR has been registered against the accused persons in this connection.
