Mango Municipal Corporation assurance for electric pole installation in five days

Jamshedpur, June 9: As per instructions of Health Minister Banna Gupta, a delegation led by West Jamshedpur MLA representative Maulana Ansar Khan met Electrical Executive Engineer Vishal Kumar and Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) Special Officer Deepak Sahay demanding installation of electric poles in Mango.

Deepak Sahay assured provision and installation of electric poles within five days. On the same occasion, the Electricity Department’s Executive Engineer Vishal Kumar said that the power supply problems would persist for the next three days especially during the night but he assured that the problems would be cleared soon. According to the memorandum submitted to the MMC Special Officer and Executive Engineer of the power department, there was not a single electric pole from Old Purulia Road Jaisu Bhavan to Alibaug. As a result, the road remained dark that caused regular accidents. In the memorandum, there was a demand for the installation of at least 10 electric poles along the road. It was also stated in the memorandum that power supply in Mango was very erratic and was being cut for hours on end, especially at night and one of the several problems thus being created was education of children. A demand for continuous power supply at night had also been mentioned in the memorandum of demand. The delegation included Abdul Rashid, Md Naushad, Pappu, Abdul Rahman, Md Saddam, Md Vibran and others.
