Mangal Path recited on Mangseer Nawami in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 27: On the occasion of 22nd Mangseer Nawami Festival organized by Shri Rani Sati Satsang Samiti, Kalash Pujan was performed by 13 couples at Shri Rani Sati Mandir in Jugsalai on Saturday morning. Pandit Bajrang Sharma performed the prayer rituals amidst singing of hymns.

 Following Kalash (pot) worship, a symbolic Kalash Yatra (procession) was taken out by the members of the committee. Participants sang and danced in ecstatic delight in accompaniment of religious songs (bhajans) in ode to Rani Sati Dadi. From 3 o’clock in the afternoon, choral Mangal Path or recitation from the scriptures was organized at Ranglal Marriage House, where a replica of Jhunjhunu Dham was created and decorated for devotees. An idol of Rani Sati was put on a well-decorated throne for the deity. The entire Ranglal Marriage House reverberated with shouts expressing the glories of the deity. Pune’s well-known artiste and Mangal Path composer, Priyanka Gupta recited and sang from Mangal Path in her sonorous voice that compelled mesmerized devotees to dance. A dance drama was presented on the occasion by Sonu and his group from Kolkata. The dance drama projected Dadi’s birthday celebration, Akhand Jyot, Gajra and Chunari festival, marriage and farewell ceremony. After offering food and fruits for consecration aarti was performed and later, the consecrated food, prasada was distributed among devotees. The festivities were organized under the strict purview of the government’s COVID guidelines.
