Jamshedpur, July 17: On Wednesday, MLA Mangal Kalindi met the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in Chakradharpur to address various railway-related issues in the Jugsalai Assembly constituency. Kalindi emphasized the need for passenger trains on the Tatanagar – Kharagpur route to stop at Govindpur Halt. He highlighted that the lack of a stoppage at the Halt caused financial losses and insecurity to residents, including business people, students, government employees, and laborers, who currently had to travel to Tatanagar or Asanboni to board trains.
Kalindi also raised several other demands, including the construction of the long-pending Jugsalai foot overbridge, barricading near Salgajhuri gate, a pathway from Parvati Ghat to Jugsalai Gharib Nawaz Colony, and a foot overbridge on the Badampahar railway line to Pramathanagar and Shyama Prasad School. The DRM assured Kalindi that these demands would be considered.
