Potka: A 40 year old man, identified as Debnath Soren, was brutally killed in Dhobni village of Jadugora police station area two days ago. His body was recovered from the village on Thursday.
Police arrested Shakuntala Soren, wife of the deceased, on the basis of suspicion. They said the deceased was killed at night with a sharp weapon. The village head Naseeb Kumar Besra was informed about the incident by a neighbour of the deceased. The deceased is survived by two minor children. The incident has shocked the villagers, sources said.
Police have launched a search for the weapon used in the murder of Debnath Soren. They suspect the killers were three in number. After being killed in his house, the deceased was dumped in a stable. The victim was gagged with clothes before being slain, cops said.
Police officials said the role of Shakuntala Soren had come under scanner since she could not get a whiff of her husband�s brutal murder. A thorough police investigation would soon reveal the truth, cops said.
