Jamshedpur, Feb 28: In yet another dreadful incident in city, a 27 year old man was gunned down to death by unidentified assailants at Birsanagar in broad day light. After murder attackers robbed Rahul Shukla alias Aju’s house and escaped the place. The deceased Rahul is son in law of Monu, brother of JVM leader Aalok Vajpai. After hearing about the incident SSP Amol V Homkar, City Sp Karthik S, Rural Sp Shailendra Kumar Sinha along with other police officials reached the spot.
Rahul was the only male member of the family and used to support the family of two by running a grocery shop located 200 metres away from his house. Gang of unidentified assailants stormed into the house and murdered a 27-year-old youth by hitting his head with a sharp edged weapon
at Birsanagar Zone No 3 under Birsanagar police sta- tion area near Telco this evening.
The victim was identified as Rahul Shukla, son of Late Prem Narayan Shukla. Rahul was the only male member of the family and used to support the family of two by running a grocery shop located 200 metres away from his house.
The incident took place at around 6 pm and it was dis- covered when the victim’s mother Malti Shukla and his two sisters Punam and Smita returned from market at about 6.30 pm. On seeing
her son lying still in a pool of blood, the mother became senseless .
Though the incident took place in the evening, when the locality was bustling with people, no one in the neighbourhood are able to say as to who the attackers were and how many of them
had been to the house for killing. The murder victim’s house was at the extreme corner of Zone No 3 and in front of the house is a big ground. Therefore the people in the neighourhood might not have taken notice of the incident when it took place.
