Jamshedpur, May 2: In a significant breakthrough, Govindpur police have apprehended a young man with two stolen vehicles in the Jamshedpur area. Identified as Shambhu Lohar, also known as Laila, a resident of Seregbeda Chandni Chowk in the Govindpur police station jurisdiction, the suspect was intercepted by authorities during a routine patrol near Anna Chowk.
Upon investigation, police recovered a stolen Hero HF Deluxe motorcycle bearing registration number JH 05CH 1092, as well as a Honda Aviator scooter with registration number JH 05 BG 9341 from Lohar’s possession. The suspect has been taken into custody, and further inquiries into the matter are underway.
Authorities revealed that Lohar is already embroiled in legal complications, with two separate cases registered against him at the Govindpur police station. Notably, one of the cases involves charges under the Arms Act, adding a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation.
The diligent efforts of Govindpur police, led by In-charge Prakash Kumar Rajak, Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kumar, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar Singh, have resulted in the apprehension of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen vehicles.
