Jamshedpur: Police arrested one Vikas Das with a loaded gun in Ramnagar under Kadma police station area on Tuesday.
Sources said the accused, a resident of Kandra Busti under Kandra police station area in Seraikela-Kharsawan, was nabbed by the patrolling team of Kadma police in Ramnagar.
Police had got a tip-off about the accused allegedly planning to commit a crime and being in possession of arms. As they spotted the accused, the latter started running away. The accused was caught after a chase.
Cops frisked the accused and reportedly recovered a double-barreled country-made gun from his possession.
An FIR was lodged in this connection under Section 25-1(B) and 26 (1) of Arms Act. Cops said the accused was earlier booked in different crimes by Chandil and Chowka police.
