Man arrested for sending false complaints against Tata Motors Jamshedpur officials

Jamshedpur: In a major breakthrough, Jamshedpur Cyber Police have arrested a man accused of running a malicious campaign against senior Tata Motors officials and the management of Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Telco.

For the past several months, a series of false complaints and fake photographs were being circulated through unknown email IDs to the Tata Group, Tata Motors management, and government departments. The intention was to tarnish the reputation of respected individuals and create hurdles in their professional work.

The targeted officials included: Manas Kumar Mishra, retired Tata Motors officer and Chairman of Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Telco, V.N. Singh, senior Tata Motors officer, Vishnu Dixit, senior Tata Motors officer and Secretary of Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Rajat Singh, senior Tata Motors officer.

Police sources said that the fake complaints and fabricated photos were causing disruption in their work environment, spreading distrust, and generating unnecessary tension within the organization and associated bodies.

Following investigation, police identified the prime accused as Ramesh Kumar Singh (43), a resident of Bungalow No. 34, Aastha Twin City, Baridiha. Singh, who worked as a manager at Telco Officers Cooperative Housing Society (TOCHS), was already known for his controversial behavior towards senior citizens and Tata Motors officials residing in the society.

During interrogation, Singh confessed that he acted on the instructions of Rajesh Kumar Das, former General Manager (Legal Department) at Tata Motors.

A case has been registered at the Cyber Police Station, Jamshedpur. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody, while further investigations are underway to identify others involved in the conspiracy.
