Director NEP conducts surprise inspection at Jamshedpur MGM Hospital, focus on cleanliness

Jamshedpur: In an effort to further strengthen health services at MGM Hospital, Director, National Employment Programme (NEP) Santosh Garg carried out a surprise inspection of the hospital premises. The inspection aimed to assess the punctuality of doctors and paramedical staff, quality of medical services provided to patients, and the overall condition of hospital facilities.

The inspection was conducted under the ongoing initiative of the district administration and hospital management, guided by Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, to ensure that citizens receive better health facilities at the hospital. During his visit, the Director thoroughly reviewed the functioning of the Outpatient Department (OPD), checked the attendance of doctors and paramedical staff, and examined the availability of medicines, functioning of the X-ray and orthopedics departments, ambulance services, and parking facilities.

Santosh Garg emphasized that patients should not face delays or inconvenience due to the absence of doctors or support staff. He instructed the hospital’s Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Jujhar Majhi, to ensure the timely operation of OPD services and maintain the regular presence of medical and paramedical teams. A directive was also issued to submit a weekly report to the Deputy Commissioner’s office for close monitoring of hospital functioning.

Cleanliness of the hospital premises was also highlighted during the inspection. The Director directed the hospital management to maintain hygiene on a daily basis and ensure proper use of medical equipment. He stressed the need for continuous improvement of health services so that MGM Hospital can provide quality medical care to all sections of society.

Hospital Superintendent Dr. Mandhan and Circle Officer Mango, Brajesh Srivastava, were present during the inspection. Both officials assured full cooperation in implementing the directives and improving facilities for patients.
