Man arrested for exploiting woman

Jamshedpur: Sonari police arrested one Amitesh alias Tapan alias Baijnath Kumbhkar for allegedly exploiting a woman from Kapali sexually for one year. They said the accused had concealed his marital status from the victim and had promised to marry her. When the victim came to know the reality, she lodged a police complaint against him, cops said.
The victim told police she had first met the accused in a wedding ceremony in Jadugora. Amitesh had then proposed to marry the victim. He also reportedly pretended to marry her at Shitla Mandir and thereafter kept her at a rented accommodation in Ranikuder, Kadma. After a few days, the accused started beating up the victim. One day, he escaped with Rs 13,700 belonging to her, police said.
