Jamshedpur: City police Wednesday arrested one Riyaz Khan alias Mukesh Singh for allegedly cheating several people in the name of giving them lucrative jobs. They confiscated three vehicles, two mobile phones and two SIM cards from his possession.
According to SP City Prabhat Kumar, the accused had duped several people in the name of providing them jobs in various companies. The accused would call the gullible and jobless youths outside Tata Steel training centre where he would ask them to hand over the possession of vehicles to them along with the keys.
After sending the candidates inside, he would get away with their vehicles. Before calling for interview, the accused would take registration fees ranging from Rs 3500 to Rs 7000 from the victims.
The SP said a police team led by DSP CCR Sudhir Kumar nabbed the accused from Bistupur market. He said an arrest warrant was issued against the accused by a city court in Bistupur PS case number 235/17.
