Pension amount to be credited by 5th of each month : CM
Ranchi, April 19: Chief minister Hemant Soren in a people friendly decision directed that pension amount of the previous month should be credited by the fifth of every month in the account of all the pensioner beneficiaries covered under social security.
The chief minister also directed that the information about credit of pension amount should also be given to the beneficiaries through SMS.
“There is a rule to constitute a sub-committee under the Panchayati Raj Act and PESA Act in all the panchayats, in the light of that a committee should be constituted at the panchayat level. Other traditional leaders like Manki, Mukhiya, Pradhan etc. should be included in the sub-committee formed. This committee should meet twice a month to verify the small matters related to the villagers like birth certificate, death certificate, caste certificate etc. This committee should identify and recommend such eligible people who are deprived of the benefits of various schemes of the government and play their role in providing the benefits of the schemes,” said Soren during a review review meeting related to the progress of work of the women, child development and social security department held at secretariat on Tuesday.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed the officers to work to connect those people who are eligible to get old age pension, but due to some reason they are deprived of the benefits of old age pension, by running a campaign.
“Cover the identified eligible beneficiaries by giving them the benefits of various social security pension schemes. If there is a shortage of doctors for disability check-up, then hold a meeting with Indian Medical Association and organize a disability check-up camp with the help of private doctors for issuance of disability certificates,” said Soren.
Chief Minister said that under the summer scheme run by the department, the malnourished children should be identified and their families should be provided the benefits of various ambitious schemes of the government. He said that the goal of malnutrition free Jharkhand is the priority of our government. Identify the children suffering from malnutrition by running a campaign and give them the benefits of government schemes.
The Chief Minister said that in the number of families surveyed so far, very few families with malnourished children were found. Expressing concern over this, the Chief Minister said that whether the survey work is being done properly or not, the department should review it.
In the meeting, it was informed before the Chief Minister that 20 percent of the Anganwadi centers operating in the state do not have their own building. The Chief Minister directed the officers that the construction work of Anganwadi centers should be done as a campaign. Ensure that all necessary facilities like store room, kitchen, toilet etc. are arranged in the Anganwadi centers being built by the department.
In the meeting, updated information about the work being done under Mukhyamantri Sukanya Yojna on women empowerment, emphasis on girl child education and ending child marriage, etc. was kept before the Chief Minister. Chief Minister directed the officers that the department should make a new scheme with a view to increase women empowerment, girl child education and stop practice of child marriage.
Under the new scheme, work to benefit all adolescent girls from 13 years to 19 years through DBT.
The Chief Minister directed that the department should make a presentation by preparing a new scheme for providing sanitary napkins to teenage girls and women.
Mainly in the meeting, implementation of pension schemes under Sarvajan Pension Yojana, district wise update status of payment under centrally sponsored schemes in the financial year 2021-22, report on special campaign for making disability certificate, summer campaign progress report and many others points were discussed in detail.
