Ranchi, August 14: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the image & work culture of police force should command respect in the public.

In the changing atmosphere the police force too, will have to change its work culture. Police officers are the harbingers of peace which is a necessity for development.

As the Indian Army vigil the border areas risking their own lives for the sake of the nation, in the same way, the police rescue & save people in remote areas.

Guarding the border has been considered as a prime duty in the Indian way of living & thinking. The Govt. also endeavors to provide maximum facilities to its brave forces.

He said that perhaps Jharkhand is the first state in the nation which is providing housing facilities to the police officers & staff. The Chief Minister said it while inaugurating US Tower & LS Tower in JAP compound, Doranda.

Simultaneously, the Chief Minister inaugurated 16 other buildings constructed by Police Housing Corporation online.
The Chief Minister said that the Govt. will not compromise with quality in any construction. Quality is the Govt.’s priority and it has to be maintained at every cost.

Likewise, the police too, should render quality service to the people. The people of the state are dependent on the police for their security. So precedents should be established with their duty & sense of commitment.

Referring to hard life of police personnel, Urban Development Minister C. P. Singh said that the inauguration of 16 building complexes including police stations in the state show that the State Govt. is committed to boost up the morale of police personnel.

Chief Secretary Rajeev Gauba, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department N. N. Pandey, Director General of Police D. K. Pandey & other senior officers were present on this occasion.
