Jamshedpur: A fire broke out in the server room of Vivek Vidyalaya in the Govindpur police station area of Jamshedpur on Monday morning, sending shockwaves through the school. The fire, caused by a short circuit, began around 6:45 to 7:00 am. Thankfully, a major accident was avoided due to the swift actions of the school principal, Awadhesh Kumar Singh.
The principal immediately utilized the school’s fire control equipment to contain the flames. He also alerted the fire brigade to ensure any potential risks were addressed promptly. Fortunately, no students were present at the school at the time, as the incident occurred early in the morning before the school day had begun.
Two fire brigade teams responded to the situation and helped to further control the fire. The incident has been averted with minimal damage, and authorities are investigating the cause of the short circuit. The principal’s presence of mind and quick thinking prevented what could have been a much more serious incident. No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
