Main accused in Railway Contractor murder case sent to Ghaghidih Jail

Jamshedpur, August 27: Prime accused in Railway Contractor�Vijay Kumar�Pandey muder case, Titu Sharma was on Thursday taken into remand by the police and made him appear before the court.

Sharma was later sent to Ghaghidih Central Jail. Sharma was absconding since the murder of 52-year-old contractor, Pandey near the Kerala Public School in Burmamines in the month of June 2015.

Sharma surrendered before the Seraikela Court and was behind the bars in Seraikela Jail.

Police had detained six persons in connection with the killing. It may be noted that Pandey was returning home�on his bike�from the�Tatanagar railway station at about 11.30 pm.�

As he took a turn for his house from the Station-Burmamines Road, the assailants�opened fire and shot him in the head and shoulder.

The Burmamines�police station�officer-in-charge, Mohan Pandey rushed the victim to the Tata Main Hospital where the doctors on emergency duty declared him as brought dead.
