Seraikela, June 22: A significant operation led by District Food Safety Officer Aditi Singh took place on Thursday, resulting in the sealing of Mahamaya Hotel in Gamharia. Raids were conducted in several hotels in the area, causing a wave of concern among the hotel operators. During the inspections, food samples were collected by the Food Safety Officer.
However, the condition of the kitchen at Mahamaya Hotel left the officer outraged. Not only did she reprimand the operator for the poor quality of meat being served, but she also decided to seal both the kitchen and the entire hotel until further notice. Further investigation revealed that rotten meat had been used in cooking and served to customers. Additionally, substandard ingredients and spices were found to have been used in the food items. The District Food Safety Officer stated that this action was taken in response to a complaint regarding the violation of Food Safety Standards and emphasized that such actions will be carried out in the future as well. She urged all shopkeepers and hotel operators to strictly adhere to food safety standards when running their establishments
