Noamundi, Feb. 5: Mage Festival was celebrated with great fervor at Bokana village in the Noamundi block of West Singhbum on Friday.
The priest Krishna Champia performed the rituals at the Desawali and prayed for the villagers’ well-being. He prayed for their health and peace.
The villagers of Adivasi community wore new traditional attires during the festival and danced to the rhythm of traditional musical instruments like nagra and madar.
Munda Vikram Champia, Sukhdev Champia, Roya Champia, Motai Champia Sukhram Purty and Sahu Purty were present on the occasion.
