Jamshedpur, Jan. 19: In 1991, when India was transforming into a new era of private enterprise, a young entrepreneur Narendra Choudhary saw an opportunity to develop quality homes at affordable prices.
With little finance, lot of courage and two friends, Narendra went on to start a firm, Madhusudan Builders, that has gone from strength to strength in last 25 years, delivering over 2,500 homes and 250 commercial units in Mango, Sonari, Baradwari, Telco, Circuit House and various other parts of Jamshedpur.
“People dream to live in good homes, but quality homes were often beyond the common man’s reach in Jamshedpur. People also had trust deficit with builders. We wanted to build quality homes around Rs 2.5 lakh and create a brand that the community could trust in,” said Narendra Choudhary, chairman, Madhusudan Builders.
Addressing a press conference at city hotel on Tuesday, Choudhary, said, ‘The last 25 years have been incredible in many ways. Starting with affordable flats, we went on to do affordable luxury flats in Sonari, campus developments, luxury duplexes in Circuit House, shops, corporate buildings, hospital and shopping mall.
In these 25 years, there has been one constant – we have never compromised on quality. Also, more satisfying than these milestones is the fact that we have earned the trust and goodwill of our customer community.
When asked about the ongoing projects, Shantanu Kumar, CEO, said, “On the residential side, I would like to mention ‘The Atrium,’ a themed development with affordable luxury flats and a Swiss Duplex project that we will commence work on soon. On the commercial side, we are constructing the M-Infiniti Mall.”
Talking about the future plans, Vikas Kumar, vice-chairman, said, “The building industry will transform dramatically in coming years and we are ready to startup into this new era again.
I see us growing into new niche segments and new markets in the coming years. I see my dreams with these 3ls – incredible, innovative, and international.”
