Ranchi, Jan. 19: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday assigned responsibilities for the officers in the state’s Yojana Banao Abhiyan.
These officers will take part in making draft budgets for the village panchayats for the 2016-17 fiscal from January 21 to 24.
The appointed officers will assist the villages make their own budget. They will hold meeting with the village panchayats and the local residents on their requirement for basic infrastructures, schools, irrigation, education, health, power, panchayat building, ration card and other aspects. The draft budgets will be made during such meetings.
According to the Chief Minister, the suggestions received from the villagers will be incorporated in the state’s Budget for the 2016-17 fiscal.
He said that the 14th Finance Commission will be heralded into public movement and added that the state government wants to minimize the gap between the people and the government.
The CM started the Yojana Banao Abhiyan from Getalsood Panchayat of Ranchi district. Arun Kumar Singh has been entrusted with the task of collecting suggestions for the budget from villagers in the East Singhbum district.
