Jamshedpur: The JYOTI Club of Loyola School Telco conducted a newspaper collection campaign between July 6 and 26 with the aim to assist the needy. Students were urged to donate old newspapers during the drive.
The response of the Loyola School Telco students was encouraging as more than 250 kilograms of old newspapers were collected during the JYOTI Club campaign. The campaign was initiated and led by Harshita, a student of Class 8, and supported by classmate Sandeep Gorai. The drive had the total backing of Principal Charanjeet Ohson and Administrator and Treasurer Father Gerry.
Fr Gerry D’Souza said, “This campaign was designed to sensitize the students to their responsibility towards others and the significance of compassion for the needy and society.” The JYOTI Club came in for praise from Coordinator Jeanette Maria Sundi, Pre-Primary Section Coordinator Colin Xavier and Shweta Sharma.
