Loyola School wins inter-school Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz

Jamshedpur : In an interesting show of talent, Loyola School lifted the champion’s trophy of 23 rd Inter-School Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz organised by DBMS English School, Kadma on Tuesday.

Students came prepared for the show as they up with most of the answers that were shot at them by the quiz masters.

The school auditorium was buzzing with enthusiasm as the quiz master came up with interesting bunch of questions based on an array of subjects.

This quiz is held every year in the loving memory of Seuli, a student of the school, who died on March 3, 1989.

Arjun Mohan, Management Trainee I. T. Services, Tata Steel conducted the quiz. A total of 15 school participated in the prelim round where their knowledge was tested over a wide spectrum. The six schools who qualified for the final round were: S. D. S. M. School for Excellence, D. B. M. S. English School, Little Flower School, Gulmohur High School, Loyola School and St. John’s School.

The children were quizzed on a wide array of subjects wherein they had to exercise their grey cells to battle for the top spot.

Loyola School emerged as the winner in a closely fought contest Gulmohur High School came second followed by D. B. M. S. English School in the third position.

Rajani Shekar, principal, DBMS English School gave away the prizes to the winners and said that the quiz is dedicated in the memory of Seuli Seal.

She gave best wishes to the winning team and said that students had put in hard efforts for the quiz.

She lauded the efforts of the participating teams and said that events like these help students expand their learning and provide them a platform to showcase their talents.
