Jamshedpur, Sept 16: XLRI’s Head Clinical Psychotherapist, Dr Puja Mohanty and Barkha Gabri conducted a session on ‘Prevention of Suicide in School’ among teachers of Loyola School Telco.
The session comprised several activities that were designed for teachers to enable them understand students’ problems in better light by delving deeper into their mental zones. Dr Mohanty stressed, “You can play a vital role role in suicide prevention by fostering the emotional well-being of all the students.”
Dr Pooja Mohanty shared various healing or grounding techniques to promote mental and emotional wellbeing of the students. She discussed at length the emotional regulation therapy.
Teacher Purna Chaudhary offered the vote of thanks during which she expressed her appreciation on behalf of all the teachers to Principal Charanjeet Ohson for organising the session and to Dr Pooja Mohanty for the vital and extremely important information on suicide prevention among students.
