Jamshedpur, August 24: Loyola School Telco, in association with Voluntary Blood Donors Association (VBDA), organized a blood donation camp, guided by VBDA President and Founder Sunil Mukherjee and veteran blood donor Pradeep Ghosal. The initiative highlighted the importance of blood donation as a simple yet impactful way to save lives.
The camp was held with strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including temperature checks, social distancing, and the use of personal protective equipment. VBDA professionals managed the blood collection process, ensuring a safe environment for all participants.
As part of its commitment to community outreach, Loyola School promoted the event among students, parents, well-wishers, and staff. The camp followed a comprehensive awareness program held on August 16, featuring an assembly presentation and a one-act play, designed to inspire participation in this life-saving effort.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with 55 units of blood collected from a total of 95 volunteers, including teachers, parents, alumni, and local residents. Principal Charanjeet Ohson and School Administrator Father Gerry D’Souza played key roles in organizing the event, with Rector Fr. K.M. Joseph visiting the school to commend the initiative.
The school extended its gratitude to VBDA and the dedicated support staff whose efforts were instrumental in the event’s success. Principal Charanjeet Ohson said that Loyola School Telco was proud to contribute to the health and well-being of the community through this noble cause.
