Jamshedpur: Loyola School, Telco, wore a festive look on Saturday as students celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event blended devotion, creativity, and festivity, offering students a meaningful and memorable experience.
The celebration began with a solemn prayer by the junior coordinator, Zeenat Maria Sundi, invoking divine blessings, followed by a prayer dance that enriched the atmosphere with serenity. Students then presented a thoughtful and engaging skit depicting the birth of Christ, showcasing the timeless message of hope, love, and compassion that Christmas brings to the world.
A spirited dance performance added vibrancy to the event, while the Christmas carols sung by both children and teachers created an atmosphere filled with joy, harmony, and spread festive cheer across the gathering.
After the vibrant and expressive performance, Father Gerry D’Souza, administrator of the school, delivered the Christmas message. He said, “Christmas brings a message of peace, love, and joy for the entire human race.” He emphasized the importance of adopting three essential values—patience, forgiveness, and love—and encouraged everyone to spread the joy of Christmas wherever they go. “Speaking gently, forgiving quickly, helping those in need, studying sincerely, and respecting teachers and parents are the true values of life,” he said. He also added that jealousy and hatred destroy our lives. Father Gerry emphasized the values of love, compassion, forgiveness, and unity, inspiring students and teachers alike to practice these virtues in their daily lives.
Adding excitement to the celebration, Santa Claus made a cheerful entrance immediately after the message. The most awaited and delightful entry of Santa Claus on a reindeer cart, brought laughter, excitement, and festive cheer among the children, making the celebration complete.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Principal, Mrs. Charanjit Oshon, who expressed gratitude to Father Gerry for his enlightening message, the teachers and students for their enthusiastic participation, and all those who contributed to making the celebration meaningful and memorable.
The Christmas celebration at Loyola School, Telco, was not merely an event but a heartfelt expression of unity and goodwill, reminding everyone that the true meaning of Christmas lies in sharing joy and spreading love.
