Jamshedpur Municipal Corporation Election: Booth shift confuses voters at Mango’s RVS Academy

Jamshedpur, Feb 23: A confusing situation was reported at the RVS Academy polling centre in Dimna during the Mango Municipal Corporation Elections 2026 on Monday, as many voters returned without casting their votes due to a sudden change in booth allocation.
Several local residents, who had been voting at the same school for years, were surprised to find that their names were missing from the voter list at the centre. Officials informed them that their booths had been shifted to other locations without prior notice.
An elderly couple expressed their disappointment, saying they had arrived early in the morning to avoid the rush but were told their booth had been changed. “At this age, it is difficult for us to move around searching for another centre,” they said.
Dozens of voters reportedly left the centre without voting. Many alleged that their voter slips either did not arrive on time or did not clearly mention the new booth details. Voters also complained about the absence of a proper help desk to guide them to their reassigned polling stations.
The sudden change caused inconvenience, especially to senior citizens and women, raising concerns about better coordination and communication during the election process.
