Jamshedpur: A tragic road accident occurred near Dimna Lake in the Bodam police station area on Friday when an unidentified car collided with a scooter. The accident claimed the life of 23-year-old Raj Chauhan, a Class 11 student at Loyola School and a resident of Mango Daiguttu, while another youth sustained serious injuries.
According to eyewitnesses, the unidentified vehicle hit the scooter from behind, causing Raj and his companion to fall into a deep gorge. Local residents immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene and rushed both victims to Tata Main Hospital (TMH). Doctors declared Raj Chauhan dead upon arrival, while the other youth, who suffered a fractured leg, is undergoing treatment at TMH.
The police have seized the vehicle involved in the accident and launched an investigation. Raj Chauhan was the younger of two brothers and was considered the hope of his family. His untimely demise has left his family in deep mourning. Authorities are conducting a thorough inquiry into the incident.
