Loyola School declared ‘Best Team’ in Frank Anthony Debate

Jamshedpur, July 17: Loyola School team comprising of Agnidh Ghosh and Rohan Arya was declared the ‘Best Team’ in Frank Anthony Memorial All-India Inter School Debate Competition hosted by Hill Top School on Monday.

Little Flower School comprising of G. S. Vishnu and Debarati Pal was the Runner up team. Acaantha Anil of St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro bagged the Best Speaker award followed by Agnidh Ghosh of Loyola School. The winners and the First Runners Up team have qualified for the next level: Stage 2.

The topic for the debate was �The E-Book is here to stay�. The debate was fiery and electrifying as debaters propositioned and opposed the motion with vigour.

17 participants (9 teams) from nine eminent schools, one from Bokaro and 8 from Jamshedpur participated in the competition. Ms. Tanuja, an English Teacher of Hill Top School was the Moderator for the event. The judges for the event were Dicky Mody, Dr. Shahin Razi and Dr. Amit Mukherjee.
Earlier, the program started with a tribute to Late Frank Anthony, after whom the debate has been named.

The School Orchestra entertained everybody by singing some foot tapping songs like �Titanium� while the results were being tabulated. All participants were given participation certificates on behalf of the Council.
