Jamshedpur, July 30: Tata Football Academy and Tata Steel sports department organised U – 12 and U – 14 football tournament on the occasion of 112th JRD Tata Birth Anniversary at Armoury Ground on 29th and 30th July 2016. Loyola School was crowned the winner in the U-12 category.
Total of 11 teams participated in the U-12 category. After some intense battle in league matches Loyola School set up the final against Chinmaya Vidyalaya, South park, Bistupur. Loyola School boys beat Chinmaya Vidyalaya, South Park by 3 goals to 0 to win the tournament. . Nikhil of Loyola School was awarded for highest goal scorer.
Earlier, Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Administrator (TFA & Sports) paid Homage to JRD Tata at TFA along with V Ramakrishna, Sr. Manager (TFA), Cadets of Tata Football Academy, Coaches and staffs.
Birdhan Marandi, Area Officer, Urban Services & International Athlete was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the U-12 Football Tournament. On the Occasion V Ramakrishna, Sr. Manager (TFA) was present.
Rajiv Seth, Sr. Manager (Sports) and International Cricketer was the Chief Guest during closing ceremony and distributed the prizes to the winners. Ashok Kumar Tudu conducted the entire tournament along with Rashid Mehdi, V. Ramakrishna and employees of TFA & Sports Dept.
