Jamshedpur: Members of the city-based social organization Lok Samarpan provided financial assistance to a patient, Subol Majumdar, undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital, on Thursday.
They assured to help the patient in every manner possible.
Leading the outfit, president Lalit Das said the decision to help the patient was taken after finding out his poor economic condition.
Chhaya Majumdar, wife of Subol Majumdar, had recently met Lalit Das and sought help to ensure treatment of her husband.
Das gave a cheque to Chhaya Majumdar to ensure uninterrupted treatment of her husband. He said Lok Samarpan had also appealed to the state government to help Subol.
He said both the government as well as Lok Samarpan were dedicated to the cause of the poor.
